about the author
Billy Corriher is a writer and a longtime advocates for better state courts. He currently works as the state courts manager for People’s Parity Project. Billy has helped fight Republican power grabs and worked with progressive courts advocates around the country. His writing has appeared in Slate, Democracy Docket, Facing South, and other outlets. In 2021, he released a book titled Usurpers: How voters stopped the GOP takeover of North Carolina’s courts. Billy earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and his law degree from Georgia State University.
